Who needs a camp-OUT...

...when, in the comfort of your own basement slash playroom, you can have an equally fun (and less likely to be invaded by skunks/raccoons/fisher cats), CAMP-IN?!?



You should have seen her face light up when Daddy mentioned that tonight, the two of them would be setting up a tent together, popping popcorn, and watching movies for their little camp-in date. She got her jammies on, brushed her teeth, grabbed her pillow and her duckies, and was snuggled up with Daddy under a shiny pink sleeping bag, all in about 3 minutes flat!



I'm pretty sure that this adorable little Daddy-daughter moment encapsulates my favorite quote- 



"Enjoy the little moments, for one day you will look back and realize they were the big ones."


So thank you, J, for making such a big, beautiful, memorable moment for one very special little girl. She will remember this night for many, many years to come  :-)

Keep 'em comin, Aves!

While getting dressed in her room this morning, I hear Ava state, in a very firm tone of voice: 

"Gavin, will you PLEASE leave my room. I am feeling very pregnant today and I want some privacy."

A little while later, I asked her what she thought "pregnant" meant. She responded quite seriously, 

"You know Momma, like stressed out and big bellied."

...And in conclusion, I may not have a jaw-dropping dollar amount in my bank account...but if wealth were measured by laughter instead, I'd definitely be one of the richest women in the world  :-)

 "Oh Gavey, you and your small penis are just ruining my life!!!!!!!!!"  

said Ava, in response to her naked baby brother peeing on her princess tea set and then giggling about it. 

If only she knew how many more times this exact statement would be made in her future dating years, it would save her a lot of heartache. *Sigh*
